VIDEO PREMIERE: Lydia Evangeline releases video for latest single ‘Down’ - Watch Now

Lydia Evangeline releases the music video for new, dark synth-pop single – ‘Down’ (REL: 23.11.18). Check out the exclusive XS Noize premiere of ‘Down’ – BELOW:

Speaking about the video Lydia said “I wanted the visuals to reflect the metaphoric nature of the lyrics in the song – it’s a song about trying to escape from a bad relationship but always being sucked back in, a feeling I likened to drowning in the lyrics. I also wanted the surrounding scene to be an abandoned party- you’ll see champagne flutes, bunting, flamingo glasses and floats, all things that would trick you into thinking you were part of something good, something fun. But once they’re ruined and abandoned the scene is just left looking pretty sad and eerie.”

4 singles into her solo career, Lydia Evangeline closes out a successful debut year with ‘Down’– her grittiest offering yet. Building on the success of her previous releases, ‘Coldest Shadow’, ‘Get Over You’ and ‘T.R.U.S.T.’, ‘Down’ solidifies Lydia’s standing as a quality and thought-provoking songstress.

Lydia continues to present a depth of lyric that is relatable, delivered with ease via a versatile and powerful vocal. The NAO inspired the production of the audio, courtesy of long-time producer and collaborator Willie Weeks, seals off the sonic journey of the last few singles – heartbreak songs, with gritty sounds that turn lyrical sadness to unadulterated sass.

Building on the success previous releases reaching 200k+ streams and counting, along with sold-out shows in Brighton and London, Lydia finishes out the year stronger than ever. New music from Lydia is due for release early 2019.
