Today XS Noize is pleased to premiere ‘These Days’ the debut single from Northern Irish troubadour Shea Rafferty which is released today.
Led in by its uplifting rhythm reminiscent of classics such as Gordon Lightfoot, the track flows gently into its infectious chorus, going between slide guitar, a floating piano hook and Shea’s prominent melodic vocal.
With Troy Stewart on production, Jenny Conlee (The Decemberists) on keys and Greg Williams (Sheryl Crow/The Dandy Warhols) on engineering/mixing/drumming duties, ‘These Days’ was recorded at Trench Studios in Portland, Oregon.
Shea Rafferty performs at Bright Fest 2019 in London on the day of release for The Joe Strummer Foundation – a charity he is becoming closely involved with and supported by.
