Scottish four-piece Dictator are excited to share their eclectic, immersive style of indie-electro as they prepare to release a brand new single, Anthem For A Doomed Youth, out on 15th November.
Having recently played their first sold-out show at Glasgow’s Garage G2 supporting Mark Sharp and the Bicycle Thieves, the West Lothian band are aiming to maintain their momentum, ending 2019 on a high.
Debut single “Anthem For A Doomed Youth” is a sonic manifesto aimed at the disaffected youth of today’s world. Blending elements of electronica with, psychedelic guitar solos and groove-filled beats, Dictator have created an instant indie dance floor filler.

The track can be considered quite political in its motive, it’s born out of frustration. The entire political sphere evolves as you grow older but the more you learn about it the more frustrated you become, with all the recent events in the political landscape highlighting flaws in character so deep they reverberate around entire continents with catastrophic repercussions. Albeit a huge topic to try and address, Dictator have tried to condense that voice against the ongoing circus into a 3-minute song.
Anthem For A Doomed Youth by Dictator is out on 15th November.
