Ambient pop duo New Atlas, are the brainchild of singer songwriter Eoghan O’Hagan. Recently named one of BBC Northern Ireland’s hottest new acts by Huw Stevens (Radio One), the band toured the UK and Ireland extensively in 2015. Following a huge response to their appearance at last year’s Sound City Festival, they moved from their native Belfast and set up shop in Liverpool in early 2016.
In April 2016 they release their debut EP as New Atlas – ‘Young Hearts’, produced and mixed by Rocky O’Reily.(Wheatus, Ex Magician). During the writing of the EP New Atlas singer Eoghan O’Hagan locked himself in his flat for 3 months until he was happy with the results – such was his dedication to the project. All this at only 19 years of age.
New Atlas, completed by pianist Luc McParland will play live in June.
