Recorded across a fortnight in a make shift studio in the heart of the British countryside, Sarah Cracknell’s second solo album Red Kite is a love letter to nature and the formative music of youth.
Recorded and produced by Carwyn Ellis (Colorama) and Seb Lewsley (Edwyn Collins/The Cribs), Red Kite features guest appearances from former label mate Nicky Wire and critically acclaimed duo The Rails. Mainly though, it’s all about Sarah – one-third of Saint Etienne and very occasional solo artist (her first solo outing, Lipslide, was released in 1997) – and a career-defining collection of gorgeously pastoral songs.
