BAND AID 30 UNVEIL SONG AND VIDEO: watch here

THE latest version of Do They Know It’s Christmas was unveiled last night — with fans quick to heap praise on the “amazing” song and video.
Donations started pouring in as soon as the Band Aid 30 video — released to raise millions for the fight against Ebola — went out on the X Factor results show.
It came just 24 hours after stars including One Direction, Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran and Emeli Sandé recorded their parts at London’s Sarm studio.

Organiser Sir Bob Geldof introduced the track on the ITV talent show, which first showed a harrowing clip of Ebola workers carrying a victim of the killer disease from her home. One Direction took the first line, followed by Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and Sam Smith. Bono’s shout of “tonight thank God it’s them instead of you” has changed to “tonight we’re reaching out and touching you”.

Sir Bob, 63, said: “Of course it’s a little bit of pop history but it’s an enormous production, and the reason they came yesterday is this thing could arrive on a plane at any time. “We’re going to war on this disease.”
