WARDANCE - reveal debut single 'Free Radicals'

London trio Wardance have just unleashed their fuzz-filled debut single ‘Free Radicals’, coming out on new indie label The Sound Of Everything UK.

Wardance are a powerhouse of unyielding riffs pulsating in the midst of an exciting grunge resurgence that’s powering across the UK, mixing classic sounds from early ‘90s Seattle rock with a distinctly British sensibility, filtered through the dirty prism of glam rock and the roughest fringes of Britpop.

Wardance set the bar high as they let out their introductory battle cry on ‘Free Radicals’. The single is a high-octane, four-to-the-floor stomper with thick guitars, lo-fi vocals and monstrous bass. It’s rough and ready with influences from the 90’s elite of Nirvana, Weezer and early Soundgarden yet jagged with a harder edge of gnarled Brit-rock swagger.

‘Free Radicals’ is the lead single from the band’s upcoming debut EP, due for release in October. The EP has been produced by Sean Genockey (Futureheads, Suede, Jesse Hughes) and has already been given the stamp of approval by rock royalty with The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan recently tweeting the band his support.

Wardance have already built up a dedicated London following from relentless gigging in the city, which has seen them play sold out shows at The Barfly, Purple Turtle and The Tram & Social amongst many others. The band continue to bring their sweaty, intimate shows to the capital this summer surrounding ‘Free Radicals’ release. Upcoming Wardance tour dates can be found below:
