VIDEO PREMIERE: The Sunday Shift - ‘Where The People Go’

‘Where The People Go’ is the first single from the forthcoming ‘Home’ E.P. by The Sunday Shift. The Home E.P. is scheduled for release on all digital platforms on the 22/11/2019.

The Sunday Shift are a four-piece consisting of Josh Falconer, Matt Bradstreet, Arms Juarez and Tom Porter. The band is built around the songwriting partnership of Josh and Matt, who originally met at a young age in one of the many industrial towns of the Midlands, where they garnered a cult fanbase for their songwriting and eclectic live shows, having supported British Sea Power on their UK tour and publicity from NME and DIY at the height of this early phase; before moving to London where they met bassist Tom Porter and drummer Arms Juarez. They bonded over a common love of the 80s and 90s guitar music and modern poetry.

The EP was recorded with North London producer Margo Broom (‘Fat White Family’, ‘Telegram’, ‘Catholic Action’) at Hermitage Works Studios, Manor House. The cover photo was taken by fashion photographer and close friend, Auriane Defert.

Josh and Matt say of the EP :

“it is a portrait of modern living, through a plethora of narratives. When the record was written we both lived in quite an isolated area on the outskirts of the city (which has since been rebuilt), away from the bustle but with all the characters it inevitably attracts. The EP attempts to capture the essence of those people”
