Rory Ryan is a musician based out of Galway, Ireland. Following on from his 2021 EP ‘EP 1’, Rory returns with the shimmering single, ‘Keeping My Mind Quiet’. XS Noize is pleased to premiere the video for the track exclusively today.
The songwriting itself is influenced by the classic songwriting of the ’70s, while the production leans more into the sounds of modern psychacts (Pond, Sunbeam Sound Machine, Ariel Pink, Tame Impala).
The track was written, performed, recorded and produced by Rory before being mixed by Sean Cook in LA, who has engineered acts like Weyes Blood, Matt Maltese, Hozier, and St.Vincent. The song was mastered by Jason Mitchell (Aldous Harding, Self Esteem, Palace).
