VIDEO PREMIERE: Jenny JAM - My Letter To You

We all say or express hurtful things to others and have them said or expressed to us in some way or another. Jenny JAM is familiar with the latter of the two all too well and has made it the subject of her latest single, “My Letter To You”, which XS Noize are proud to premiere.

The London-born, LA-based singer-songwriter – who is also a talented actress and model – has established herself as someone unafraid to write or sing about difficult events, topics or themes, something which has seen her earn both respect and praise from fans and critics alike. She is a big believer that: “You can always take the positive out of the worst of experiences, as there is always a lesson – no matter how big the price to pay is”, and her new, immensely personal release highlights this incredibly well and with considerable poignancy and power.

“My Letter To You” is a ballad about a response to an unexpected, hurtful letter sent by my late father before he passed away from lung cancer in Florida in 2014,” Jenny shares. “I wrote to him from London, where I was living at the time, but he died before he was able to properly read it, and I never heard back. During lockdown, I decided to make it into a song and film the music video across the US from Los Angeles – where I now live – to his street in Florida to portray the journey of my letter sent across many miles. The lyrics depict the hurtful, unexpected words written to me and my strength to overcome the pain.”

In conjunction with the release, an NFT, created by Oscar and Golden Globe-winning artist Tyquane Wright – perhaps best known for his work on Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse – will be displayed at NFT Week in New York this month.
