Amberlake is the alias for London born Hong Kong producer and musician Nick Tsang, who creates sparkling, offbeat chill-pop gems as evident in his new track ‘Gold Dust’ featuring Emma Lauren. Today, we’re pleased to premiere the sparse, intimate acoustic version of the track, bringing its feel-good personality to the fore.
Nick says: ‘‘I always like to start writing songs organically on a piano or a guitar. I feel songs need to be strong without any production to stand the test of time. I want to show ‘Gold Dust’ in its purest form to highlight the romantic story of the song”.
Amberlake is an exciting new project formed by guitarist and producer Nick Tsang. Nick has toured the world playing guitar for acts such as Ed Sheeran, The Ting Tings, and Charli XCX whilst amassing production and songwriting credits with artists such as Jess Glynne and Nina Nesbitt.
The name Amberlake came from the Chinese take-away that Nick’s grandad started when he first arrived in England. With one hand-dipped in pop and the other in serene electronica, Amberlake has its own brand of quietly euphoric, expansive alt-pop. Amberlake has set himself a target to release new music every 3 weeks throughout 2020 and has recently been made ‘Artist of the week’ by BBC Introducing 2020. With all the pieces now in place, Amberlake will be turning many heads over the coming year.
