Finnish #1 sensation ALMA unleashes her brand-new track 'Everything Beautiful'

Continuing her journey as one of the most exciting punk-pop stars to emerge in recent times, Finnish #1 sensation Alma unleashes the first single off her sophomore project today: her brand-new track “Everything Beautiful”, now available via EPIC/RCA/WARNER & PME. Recorded in Stockholm with Co-Executive Producers Elvira Anderfjärd and Max Martin “Everything Beautiful” is a celebration of life in the face of global crises and personal struggles.

Back with a crunchy bass line and her stunning trademark synths, Alma’s all-new single “Everything Beautiful” is indeed a moment of pure, light-headed bliss, a powerful summer anthem and the ultimate soundtrack for painting the town red: “Everything beautiful dies is my way of saying that I care and I’m here to learn – but I also sometimes just wanna close my eyes and be naive and stupid. Cause that’s life,” says Alma.

The result of an in-depth confrontation with her past – Alma’s certainly not shy to address her own struggles, missteps and fuck-ups head-on – her latest batch of recordings is about turning personal setbacks into songs that manage to celebrate life as it is. “They’re all light and happy – but sad at the same time,” says the songwriter known for her wild and punk-inspired live performances. “‘Everything Beautiful’ is the perfect intro to this new album cycle,” she adds. “Even though it’s deep and it has this underlying message, it’s still one of the easier tracks on the album. It’s a great way to say: I’ve been thinking about stuff – I’ve been going through my photos and I’ve been really going back into my teenage years. ‘Everything Beautiful’ is pretty much the cover of a book… and then you wanna know what’s inside of it.”

With 650m+ worldwide streams and more than 1m UK record sales under her belt, Finnish #1 songwriter Alma has chosen pop music as her means of expression “because it can be everything: it can be punk, it can be rock, it can be EDM, even classical music, whatever,” says the self-taught musician who was born in 1996. Her extraordinarily soulful voice and sharply observed lyrics hit somewhere between Sia & Amy Winehouse. Every time the 25-year-old artist drops a new song, it’s obvious that punchy, punk-tinged pop flows effortlessly from her fingertips.
