New wave and glam rock act Rose Tiger share their brand new EP ‘The Shallows ACT.1’. Fronted by the charismatic French singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Cyprien “Wendy” Jacquet, their new record finds them crafting a collection of songs that sonically tows the line between theatrical rock and indie-leaning elements.
An act not afraid to push boundaries. Led by Wendy’s operatic vocal performance, the project sees him on upbeat 60s inspired tracks such as ‘Hypersonic’ while displaying his vocal range on glam rock lead single ‘Could be a Fantasy’. ‘The Shallows ACT.1’ is a theatrical project taking listeners on a journey from start to finish with the addition of opening and concluding instrumentals that feature soothing and cinematic string arrangements.
The project was recorded in London by producer Richie Kennedy (Celeste, The Murder Capital, White Lies, Suede) in legendary studio Assault & Battery II.
Rose Tiger have recently released the music video for their lead single ‘Could be a Fantasy’ displaying their Marc Bolan and Queen influence. The visuals see the trio as the rock n roll stars they are – armed with make-up and glam-rock clothing and instruments in hand in front of a purple backdrop.
Despite their short catalogue, Rose Tiger has managed to garner a growing loyal fanbase with the lead single ‘Could be a Fantasy’ reaching over 10,000 streams and over 5,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
