CATTLE & CANE – Announce extensive UK tour for February 2016

CATTLE & CANE - Announce début album 'Home'

On Friday 18th September 2015, Cattle & Cane released their debut album ‘Home’ and celebrated with their biggest headline show to date – a sold out 1,000 capacity gig at Teesside University in Middlesbrough.

Their recent video for fan-favourite ‘Sold My Soul’ was filmed at the gig and manages to capture the euphoric atmosphere from a night that will live long in the memory.

The band followed up their stunning album launch with their first ever headline tour of the UK in October 2015, which included numerous sold out dates across the UK everywhere from London to Manchester to Newcastle. After the success of the October tour, Cattle & Cane will be heading out across the UK again in February 2016 as the band’s ubiquity in their native Teesside continues to spread across the country:

February 07 – PLYMOUTH – THE JUNCTION

February 08 – BRIGHTON – HOPE & RUIN

February 09 – NORWICH – OWL SANCTUARY

February 11 – LINCOLN – ENGINE SHED

February 12 – NEWCASTLE – THINK TANK

February 13 – YORK – HOUSE CONCERT

February 14 – LEYBURN – THE GARDEN ROOMS

February 15 – EDINBURGH – ELECTRIC CIRCUS

February 17 – MANCHESTER – GULLIVERS

February 18 – CHESTER – THE COMPASS

February 19 – BLACKBURN – KING GEORGES HALL

February 20 – LIVERPOOL – STUDIO 2

February 22 – NOTTINGHAM – BODEGA

February 23 – LONDON – THE LEXINGTON

February 24 – HULL – THE ADELPHI

February 25 – DERBY – THE VENUE

February 26 – DONCASTER – DIAMOND LIVE

February 27 – AYTON – HEMELVAART BIER CAFÉ

February 28 – DURHAM – OLD CINEMA LAUNDERETTE

Consisting of siblings Joe, Helen, Fran and Vin Hammill, with family friend Tom Chapman on percussion, Sold My Soul is a faultless example of Cattle & Cane’s ability to shift even the hardest of hearts with their perfect, soaring harmonies.

As heard on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 1, Amazing Radio and Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, Cattle & Cane have been heavily championed by the BBC Introducing team and performed at T In The Park and BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park before they’d even released their debut single, I Will Rise – which has now had over 1.5 million streams online!

A live session on BBC Radio 2 for Dermot O’Leary followed and one of the tracks they performed has since been released on Dermot’s Saturday Sessions compilation, alongside such luminaries as Keane, The Stereophonics and The XX. Cattle & Cane’s music has also been featured on a variety of TV shows including Made In Chelsea, The Only Way Is Essex and MTV’s Catfish, as well as on popular Brazilian soap-opera Avenida Brasil, where they were included on the show’s official soundtrack alongside the likes of Taylor Swift, Adele and Paul McCartney.

While phrases such as “long-awaited” and “long-overdue” may have been mentioned in relation to ‘Home’ – and there’s no denying that it’s been the best part of five years in the making – the reality is that as plenty of new bands formed, built a buzz and then imploded without a trace, Cattle & Cane have been slowly but surely finding their sound, working on their song-writing and building a loyal and passionate following: a fan-base which helped propel ‘Home’ into the top 100 of the official mid-week album chart and the top 30 of the weekly independent album chart.
