VIDEO PREMIERE: ASOMVEL - Luck is for Losers

Classic hard rock for a new generation; bringing the old school sound and style with a more progressive attitude. ASOMVEL are a three-piece from the U.K., notorious for excessive volume, high-octane stage shows, and for their inspiring lyrics; which abandon all trace of themes typical for the genre, such as how much booze you can drink, and how many women you can mistreat.

Choosing instead, to focus on positive, uplifting themes about overcoming adversity, and championing the underdog.

Barely a year after ASOMVEL released their well-respected debut LP, Kamikaze, the band was shaken to its core when front-man, Jay-Jay Winter, was killed in a road accident. Although a devastating tragedy, co-founding guitarist, Lenny, knew that the band had to continue in tribute to the determined spirit of their founder.

Since releasing World Shaker, the first album with Jay-Jay’s nephew, Ralph, on vocals, the band has performed around the world; including a tour of South America, Japan, and all around Europe. These dates included many well-respected festivals and lengthy tours with well-established artists.

ASOMVEL’s new release, Luck is for Losers, takes inspiration from classic rock ‘n’ roll, with an ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ ethos. Front-man, Ralph, has this to say about the new track, “This one’s all about empowering yourself to live the life you wanna live, regardless of what hand you’re dealt. All wrapped up in two and half minutes of rock ‘n’ roll, paying homage to the likes of Status Quo, AC/DC, and Little Richard.”
