ED SHEERAN announces extra date for The O2's 10th Birthday

The Eternal City is set to host one of the most anticipated concerts in 2025 as Ed Sheeran’s  “+ – = ÷ ×” ( Mathematics Tour) will make a stop at the Stadio Olimpico in the Italian capital.

Ed Sheeran has been on a massive three-year global “+ – = ÷ ×” Tour (also known as Mathematics Tour), which kicked off in Dublin’s Croke Park, Ireland, for two consecutive nights and sold-out shows; a total of $12,147,796 was recorded from ticket sales. It is the ongoing fourth concert tour by the English singer as he is on the road to promote his fifth and sixth studio albums, “=” Equals and “-” Subtract, respectively. The tour is scheduled to end on September 7, 2025, at Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany.

In 2023, the “Mathematics” Tour became the highest-grossing tour of all time, surpassing U2’s “360” Tour and Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.” According to Pollstar, $268 million was garnered from 2.5 million fans in attendance. Ed Sheeran’s ability to connect with fans, coupled with his masterful guitarist skills and soulful voice have all contributed to many of the sold-out concerts he has had since the beginning of his tour in 2022.

Effortlessly weaving through an award-winning discography, performing fan favourites from his “Mathematics” album like “Thinking Out Loud,” the infectious and rhythmic “Shape of You,” “Perfect,” “Shivers,” and a host of other major hits are also a key factor to the tour’s success.

Although Ed Sheeran has ended his run of shows for the year, he is gearing up for a packed 2025; upcoming events to look out for are the shows in France at the Decathlon Arena, the MHPArena concert on 28 and 29 June in Stuttgart. He will also make stops in Oslo, Antwerp, Zurich, etc, before concluding in Dusseldorf.
