The Mary Wallopers to return to Belfast for huge Christmas show at The SSE Arena

The Mary Wallopers

The Mary Wallopers have announced two huge Christmas shows – including a return to The SSE Arena, Belfast on Tuesday 23 December and the Gleneagle Arena, Killarney on 30 December.

Over the last few years, the band have recorded killer sessions for Cerys Matthews, Jo Whiley and Zoe Ball; they’ve been a massive part of the BBC’s Glastonbury iPlayer and radio coverage; played Later with Jools Holland; performed with the reformed Pogues; played packed-out gigs across the UK after selling over 40,000 tickets on their recent March 2025 tour.

This summer, the Wallopers played massive sold-out headline shows at Dublin’s Fairview Park to 8,000 people, Cork, Galway and look forward to returning to Belfast’s SSE Arena this December.

The Mary Wallopers are Andrew Hendy, Charles Hendy, Róisin Barrett, Ken Mooney and Finnian O’Connor and are currently in Australia touring. Their current single – The Juice – is a rattling, rallying cry for necessary delinquent behaviour dedicated to “all the exhausted people, fed up of all the greedy crooks, who still manage to squeeze a bit of juice out of life.” The band are currently working on their third long player – more info coming soon.
