The chart-topping, multiple-Platinum, BRIT Award-winning James Morrison is set to release his sixth album ‘Fight Another Day’ on 3rd October 2025.

Launched alongside its title track and new single, ‘Fight Another Day’ represents his first all-new record in six years and is further accompanied by the news that James will headline four UK dates in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and London this September.

‘Fight Another Day’ is an album that presents all of the heightened emotions and struggles that James Morrison has experienced and then captured in his songwriting: the dirt, the heart, the honesty and the soul. It is an album born of difficult times and heavy emotions but one that, ultimately, leans into the light and joy and hope.

James says, When I leaned into how I was feeling, that’s when the songs started coming. I started writing about what I was going through. My own struggles with myself. Every day being a bit of a battle. Trying to eke the light out after what felt like darkness for ages. I’m really proud of the album in terms of the creative, sonic elements and how I dealt with truthful stuff. But also it’s an album of songs that hopefully make you feel better and make you nod your head and stamp your feet and singalong.”

In a sense, ‘Fight Another Day’ is a record that has been a lifetime in the making. From reflecting on his early days in his career when he battled to win an opportunity to prove himself through to the self-reflection that comes with therapy.  The album’s title track proved to be the song that set the emotions for the rest of the album to follow, making it a natural choice for a first single. The scorching, soul-baring, defiant comeback faces up to the challenges waiting on the horizon and vows to never give up.

James adds, “It just sums up what the record is. It’s about reminding yourself what’s good. About convincing yourself you’ve got enough strength to keep the fight going”.

Entirely co-produced by James with his long term producer Mark Taylor, it possesses his signature sonic traits – that gravelly blues/soul vocal, his flair for a dramatic power ballad, his groove-heavy old school R&B leanings. But it also evokes influences both old and new, from Stevie Wonder and George Harrison to Imagine Dragons and AWOLNATION. His collaborators on the record include the two-time Ivor Novello winner Eg White plus Daniel Merriweather, Connor Reeves and Andy Platt (Young Gun Silver Fox).

Fans who pre-order the album will receive access to a pre-sale for tickets for James’s September UK headline shows. The pre-sale will open at 10am on Wednesday, June 4th and will be live until remaining tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, June 6th. The shows are:
