Las Vegas is known as the “Gambling Capital of the World”. The stunning Nevada location is home to some of the most glamorous casinos on the planet.
Gambling has boomed in Vegas in recent times, also having a huge impact on the entertainment industry. Music, gambling, and Vegas have a lot in common. When heading out for a night at the casinos, why not get yourself in the mood by listening to Vegas-themed tracks? Here are a few to add to your playlist.
Ace of Spades – Motörhead
Ace of Spades is a catchy song created by the famous rock and roll band, Motörhead. Released in 1980, the popular English band used several gambling metaphors to create one of the best heavy metal rock songs of all time. Almost 45 years after its release, Ace of Spades remains one of the best in its genre.
Motörhead had many outstanding hits during their 35-year career. Alongside Ace of Spades, the Englishmen released the likes of Killed by Death, Bomber, and Overkill. Their top hits can get you in the mood, and they certainly stand the test of time.

Viva Las Vegas – Elvis Presley
Elvis Presley was hugely popular during his long stint in Las Vegas. The singing legend spent seven years performing his greatest hits at the famous International Hotel, now the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, before his untimely death in 1977. One of those top tracks was Viva Las Vegas, which went down a treat with the Nevada crowd. “The King of Rock and Roll” had countless No. 1 hits during his illustrious career, and the 1964 song is one of Elvis’ most popular.
Putting aside the spectacular live shows in the biggest casinos in Vegas, the industry has evolved and changed. In 2024, the online casino landscape has developed into a huge business, with many sites offering a variety of games. This even includes playing at live tables and slot machines, where music is played in the background to enhance the experience.
In addition, the bond between music and gambling is intensified with several music-related games to play online. The likes of In Jazz and Elvis Frog in Vegas are just a couple. The top slot sites offer many music-themed games, which can be enjoyed online right now.

Queen of Hearts – Juice Newton
Many music legends have performed the iconic hit Queen of Hearts over the years. Originally written by Hank DeVito, Dave Edmunds was the first to record the song in 1979. However, Juice Newton’s version, which was on her 1981 album Juice, is the most popular. Queens of Hearts is about love, betrayal, and taking a gamble on an unreliable lover.
The song was perfect for the pop and country singer’s stunning voice, and Newton’s Queen of Hearts has been used in many blockbuster movies, TV shows, and video games over the years. Welsh singer Edmunds got the ball rolling with his version in the late 1970s, but Newton’s rendition remains the most famous.
Gambling and music go hand in hand, and Las Vegas is a playground for both. They complement each other perfectly, with the famous Las Vegas strip coming to life with extravagant musical performances and spectacular gambling venues.
