Frank Carter kicks off 2017 with a bang, as he presents the video for his blistering new single “Wild Flowers”, by the Turner prize nominated, critically acclaimed artist Jake Chapman.
Primarily known for his shocking, provocative work with his brother Dinos as part of the Chapman Brothers, for “Wild Flowers” Chapman presents a startling music video quite unlike any other. Unfurling as a furious, rapid fire mashup of seemingly random clips, taken in toto they actually bring to ferocious, vivid life the beating heart of Carter’s lyrics.

In their own words:
JAKE: The harsh reality of slipping from YBA to OAP makes an invitation from Mr Frank Carter to do a video seem like turbo-charging my impending free bus pass…
I was, of course, very sincerely honoured to be asked.
FRANK: Jake Chapman is one of my favourite artists of all time. Somehow in this mad world we also became quite good friends. Foolishly I jeopardized all of that by asking him to make us a music video for our song Wild Flowers.
Luckily for me, Jake Is further into the abyss of madness than I am and he has made something completely captivating and utterly insane… but best of all, we are still friends! Thanks Jake x
The pair also come together for the limited edition, highly sought after “Modern Ruin” book, which accompanies the forthcoming album – a lovingly packaged tome with expanded lyrics/ photography/ poetry from Carter, as well as a 5 page epilogue by Chapman. Copies are flying out the door as you can imagine, so make sure to grab one while you still can.
“Wild Flowers” is taken from Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes’ upcoming album “Modern Ruin”, which will be released later this month. The band will also be hitting the road supporting Biffy Clyro this month, before embarking on their own headline tour in March. This is Frank Carter’s year; you will do well to surrender to it now.
