Skanger, a duo from Dublin, Ireland, consists of Mark Healy and Colin Morris. Condolences is their debut release, which has been playlisted in 16 different countries since April 2020, prior to its release on June 5th across all major platforms, such as Spotify and Apple Music.
The accompanying video to this release was directed by Al Doyle, a fan of the band, who said about the process: “This was about honouring the memories of the amazing people and times that have passed while holding on to the notion that more good memories are yet to come” The band’s influences converge with such acts as Cocteau Twins, Joy Division, The Smiths, Beach House and My Bloody Valentine. Skanger are currently finishing several new tracks which will be the basis of their debut album.
