The notion of issuing a monthly 7” single is, of course, not new to The Wedding Present – they did the same thing with the ‘Hit Parade’ in 1992 – but ‘24 Songs’ shows that even classic concepts can be reinvented.
David Gedge has re-curated full-length versions of all twenty-four tracks for a spectacular album that comprises of five bonus recordings, including one featuring the band’s first guitarist, Peter Solowka.
