TOM MEIGHAN shares the video for his latest single, ‘Better Life’, taken from his forthcoming album, ‘Roadrunner’, which will be released on 24 January on Blue Rocket Records. He will tour the UK this December.
‘Better Life’ finds Tom Meighan at his most reflective on new album ‘Roadrunner’: “Sometimes I look around / For what’s already by my side / Been aiming at the stars / When they’re reflecting in your eyes.”
It’s the third single to be taken from the new album. Tom returns at full throttle with album opener ‘Use It Or Lose It’, followed by lead single ‘White Lies’, which, “explores the idea of what truth is.” Previous single ‘We Can Do It’ is a stadium-ready banger, while ‘Silver Linings’ takes the pace down.
The album’s second half ramps things up again with themes of love, passion and madness. The album closes with the vulnerable, fan favourite ‘Would You Mind’, originally released as a free download but has become an anthem at Tom’s live shows and repeated requests for inclusion on the next album have been answered. “This song has a life of its own, you see it when you see grown men and women singing every word with open arms and tears in their eyes. Maybe sometimes we should all ask for a little help.”

Last year Tom Meighan released his first solo album The Reckoning. It charted at #17, after hitting the official midweek chart at #2 (behind Ed Sheeran). Tom and his 5-piece band spent 2023 relentlessly touring the UK before packing out arenas on tour with Noel Gallagher.
2024 has seen Tom embark on a hugely successful RAW tour, perform to a stomping, packed out tent at Isle of Wight Festival and he received a fantastic welcome at Richard Ashcroft’s Audley End show in August.
Tom recently had to reschedule his UK tour due to an acute septic abscess in his throat. He will now be playing throughout December. Tom is a captivating frontman, empowered by every square foot of the stage when he performs. His latest live show is an unapologetic rock set from start to finish. Yes, it’s tempered by some more mature material – proving that Tom can do tender as well as tumultuous – but he now brings fresh life to even those Kasabian classics that liberally pepper his set. And his brand-new bangers smartly retain those terrace style chanting choruses, those danceable guitar riffs, and a stadium worthy groove too.
Joining Tom in his band are keyboardist/guitarist Bnann Infadel, bassist Ele Lucas, lead guitarist Chris Haddon, guitarist Brodie Maguire and drummer Gareth Young.
