Heartattack is the first UK release from Thea & The Wild.
Thea Glenton Raknes is already a name in the Norwegian music industry. She has gained experience as a songwriter, lyricist, frontwoman, and now as a producer.
At first when I heard this I thought it was verging in the pop side but it has a definite dark edge that keeps it’s head above the cesspool that is the current state of the pop industry today. Taken for her forthcoming album Strangers & Lovers, Heartattack is a fine blend of folk and electro pop with well laid out lyrics and is a real thought provoking take on being taken for granted. At first listen, I wasn’t long in being taken in by its seductive synth lead and Thea’s emotional vocalizing, which I think won me over. Her voice is one of the best I have heard in a while and anyone listens to this will be the better off for it. Having already played a few festivals in Norway and getting rave reviews, I think we will be hearing lot more from Thea & The Wild.
