Six of Sabrina Carpenter’s biggest hits

Sabrina Carpenter

Grammy Award-winning artist Sabrina Carpenter has remarkably cemented her place in the pop music scene.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Carpenter shot to fame during her early years as a Disney star. She quickly gained recognition after opening for superstars like Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift, starring in “Mean Girls” on Broadway, and debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Skin”. Embracing her role as a prominent figure in pop, Carpenter has truly solidified her place as a Main Pop Girl.

Her journey continues with the 2025 leg of the highly successful “Short n’ Sweet Tour”, which has been ongoing since March and Sabrina Carpenter tickets have sold out for every show. The tour promises fans another unforgettable experience, featuring tracks like “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” from her sixth studio album, “Short n’ Sweet”.

In June 2024, Sabrina revealed the initial dates for the tour, which kicked off with performances across North America. “Short n’ Sweet Tour” marks Carpenter’s first-ever arena tour and fifth concert series, supporting her sixth album of the same name. She also announced the show’s talented opening acts, including Amaarae, Griff, Rachel Chinouriri, and Declan McKenna.

With a collection of chart-topping hits at her fingertips, we highlight six Sabrina Carpenter songs that are likely to feature in the setlist for her “Short n’ Sweet Tour”.

1: “Good Graces”

“Good Graces” is a track from Sabrina Carpenter’s sixth studio album, “Short n’ Sweet.” Released as the third song on the album on August 23, 2024, the track quickly made its mark on the charts. It debuted at number 15 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for the week of September 7, 2024. It entered at number 16 on the Canadian Hot 100 for the same week in Canada.

In the United Kingdom, it debuted at number 19 on the Official Audio Streaming Chart, while in Australia, the song entered at number 12. “Good Graces” also debuted at number 17 in New Zealand and secured the number 15 spot on the Billboard Global 200. Additionally, it charted at number 9 in Singapore, number 17 on Sweden’s Heatseeker chart, number 28 in Portugal, and number 94 in Greece.

2: “Juno”

“Juno” is another track from Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet” album, released in 2024. Recorded at Santa Ynez House and The Playpen in Calabasas, California, the song is also featured in Carpenter’s 2024–2025 “Short n’ Sweet Tour” setlist.

It debuted at number 22 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for the week of September 7, 2024. On the same date in Canada, “Juno” entered the Canadian Hot 100 at number 25. In the UK, it debuted at number 28 on the Official Audio Streaming Chart; in Australia, it entered at number 19. “Juno” also ranked 19 in New Zealand and 22 on the Billboard Global 200. The track reached number 14 in Ireland, 16 in Singapore, and 54 in Portugal.

Musically, critics have described “Juno” as a pop and indie-pop song influenced by 1980s-style disco music. Billboard’s Jason Lipshutz characterised it as an “‘80s-inspired workout”, with Carpenter employing double entendres, such as rhyming “high-fived” with “objectified”, and building towards a bold declaration in the bridge.

The lyrics of “Juno” reference the 2007 film “Juno”, with Carpenter expressing an intense attraction to a man, hinting at her desire to get pregnant by him. In the chorus, Carpenter uses the phrase “Make me Juno” to imply that she is open to becoming pregnant: “If you love me right, then who knows? / I might let you make me Juno.” She also expresses a desire to “lock me down” and compliments herself, saying, “One of me is cute, but two, though?”

3: “Please Please Please”

“Please Please Please” takes a serious theme and turns it into an infectious blend of country pop and disco-inspired vibes. In the song, Carpenter pleads with her partner not to embarrass her, but the upbeat, catchy rhythm contrasts the vulnerability expressed in the lyrics. To add an extra layer of charm, she enlisted her real-life boyfriend, Barry Keoghan, to play her love interest in the music video.

Since its release, the single has soared on the charts, earning a nomination for Song of the Year at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. It’s also become a fan favourite on Carpenter’s tour setlist, with crowds eagerly singing along to every note.

In the UK, “Please Please Please” reached the top of the charts, and with “Espresso” at number two, Carpenter made history as the first female artist to hold the top two positions for five consecutive weeks. She joined Ed Sheeran as the only artist to achieve this remarkable feat. On July 12, 2024, “Espresso” reclaimed the top spot, knocking “Please Please Please” down to number two.

Released on June 7, 2024, through Island Records and promoted to radio by Republic Corps, the track earned 50.9 million official streams and 3.2 million radio airplay impressions in the U.S. during its peak week. It sold 7,000 copies in the week ending June 20, 2024, marking Sabrina’s most successful streaming week to date. The official music video featuring Barry Keoghan premiered alongside the single and was followed by a live performance at New York’s Governors Ball the next day.

4: “Slim Pickins”

“Slim Pickins” was recorded at Sharp Sonics Studios in Los Angeles, Electric Lady Studios, and Big Mercy Sound in New York City.

The song is a country, country pop, and folk-pop ballad in which Carpenter expresses her frustration with the lack of suitable men to date. In the chorus, she resigns to settling for someone less than ideal to meet her needs, lamenting that suitable suitors are either unavailable or already taken. At the same time, she vows to keep voicing her dissatisfaction. She points out that her boyfriend struggles with basic grammar, especially the difference between “their”, “there”, and “they are”.

Despite being oblivious to his shortcomings and failing to reach his potential, he remains sexually involved with her. In the outro, she humorously notes that since good men tend to call their exes drunkenly, and she never had a “gay awakening”, she’ll remain stuck in the kitchen, complaining, “Then I’ll just be here in the kitchen / Serving up some moanin’ and bitchin’.”

“Slim Pickins” debuted at number 27 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for the week of September 7, 2024. It entered at number 33 on the Canadian Hot 100 for the same date in Canada. In the UK, it debuted at number 36 on the Official Audio Streaming Chart; in Australia, it entered at number 24. The song also debuted at number 28 in New Zealand and charted at number 30 on the Billboard Global 200. “Slim Pickins” reached number 72 on the national record chart in Portugal.

5: “Bed Chem”

“Bed Chem” is a song blending pop, synth-pop, disco, and R&B elements layered over a rhythm influenced by R&B sounds. Though it wasn’t initially released as a single from the “Short n’ Sweet” album, the track quickly gained traction and emerged as one of the standout hits from the record. With its retro feel, although grounded in synth-pop, the song carries a distinct flavour reminiscent of early 2000s R&B, drawing inspiration from icons like Christina Aguilera.

The track combines sultriness and playful energy, showcasing Sabrina’s unique ability to blend humour with provocative lyrics. As a fan favourite, “Bed Chem” has become a staple of Sabrina’s live performances, where she delivers the song while lying on a bed, surrounded by dancers, amplifying the dreamy, nostalgic atmosphere.

“Bed Chem” debuted at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of September 7, 2024. The Recording Industry Association of America awarded it platinum certification. In Canada, the song entered the Canadian Hot 100 at number 17 on the same date and achieved platinum status from Music Canada.

In the UK, “Bed Chem” debuted at number nine on the UK Singles Chart, eventually rising to number six after four weeks, marking Carpenter’s fourth top ten hit in Britain and her only track not to reach the top spot on the UK Singles Chart in 2024. The British Phonographic Industry also awarded the song platinum certification.

The track peaked at number ten on Australia’s ARIA Singles Chart, Carpenter’s fourth top-ten hit in the country.

In New Zealand, “Bed Chem” reached number nine on the New Zealand Singles Chart and earned a gold certification from Recorded Music NZ. It also charted at number 14 on the Billboard Global 200.

Internationally, “Bed Chem” impacted national charts, reaching number five in Ireland, number ten in Singapore, number 30 in Portugal, number 47 in Greece, number 65 in Sweden, and number 82 in Nigeria. It was awarded a gold certification in Portugal.

6: “Espresso”

Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” dominated the global Spotify charts, securing a spot in the Top 10 Songs Worldwide in 2024. Released in April, the track was the lead single from Sabrina’s latest album, “Short n’ Sweet”. As of now, “Espresso” boasts an impressive 1.6 billion streams on Spotify.

Imagining a song that could rival “Espresso” in Sabrina Carpenter’s catalogue is hard. The single has exploded in popularity, earning viral status, chart success, and nominations at the Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Its infectious beat and catchy lyrics make it a prime contender for Song of the Summer.

Sabrina closes her set with “Espresso” during her “Short n’ Sweet” tour, making it the perfect encore. With engaging choreography and unforgettable lyrics, the song transforms the venue into a vibrant retro disco as she performs this hit.

“Espresso” was named Billboard’s No. 1 Global Song of the Summer in September, reflecting its impressive weekly performance on the Billboard Global 200 chart. This chart is compiled using streaming and sales data from over 200 global territories by Luminate.

In the United States, “Espresso” debuted at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of April 27, 2024, marking Sabrina’s first top ten hit on the chart. By June 22, 2024, the song had climbed to number three, making it her fourth entry on the Hot 100 and her second top 40 hit. Additionally, “Espresso” became Sabrina’s eighth entry on the Billboard Pop Airplay chart, where it claimed its second number-one spot.

“Espresso” entered the UK Singles Chart at number six in the United Kingdom, quickly rising to number five in its second week before hitting the top spot in its third week. This marked Sabrina’s first chart-topping single and top-ten song in the UK and her fourth top-40 hit. The song spent five consecutive weeks at number one before being surpassed by “Houdini” by Eminem.
