Following the critical acclaim of their debut album ‘For Your Sins’, Dea Matrona continue to defy expectations with their unique blend of classic rock swagger and modern alt-pop edge.

And new single “Magic Spell” is a hypnotic, riff-driven track that showcases Dea Matrona’s signature vocal harmonies, magnetic energy, and evolving sonic ambition. Once again on writing, recording and producing duty, with a little magic dust sprinkled on by mixer Lee Smith.

“We hadn’t seen each other for about a month when we wrote “Magic Spell”, and it was one of *the best* days… the same day we planned our entire second album! say the band. “Inspiration wise we wanted to make something that was like ‘man eater’ by Nelly Furtado meets shocking blue ‘venus’ meets ‘Rhiannon.’ I think both of us needed a bit of a confidence boost at the time, and so we poured that energy into creating the fierce female who is at the heart of this song.”

Fitting aptly into the Halloween season, the whimsical and witchy lyric video for “Magic Spell” can be seen below.

With a growing international fanbase and electrifying live shows under their belt, Dea Matrona are proving to be one of the most exciting acts to watch for 2026.

Currently out on tour with The Darkness in Europe, they return to the UK in November for what will be a sold-out headline tour, their first since May 2024.
