The pipes of peace have been played, and the Gallagher brothers have danced to its tunes. The band will perform a series of shows across 13 countries. Has Oasis returned for good, or is this their final run?

The British rock band was formed in 1991 in Manchester, and the group initially consisted of lead vocalist Liam Gallagher, his older brother Noel as the band’s lead guitarist, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Tony McCarroll on drums, and Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan.

The band released their debut album, “Definitely Maybe,” on 29 August 1994; the album cleared the path for Oasis’ trek to stardom. Oasis has released ten albums with more than 30 songs in their discography. They have played hundreds of live shows across the world since their formation in 1991 and headlined countless festivals. “Oasis Live ’25 Tour” will be another moment to witness the influence of rock band the Oasis way.

Oasis Reunion

Oasis, unknown to them, performed their final gig as a band on August 22, 2009, at the V Festival in Staffordshire. The band was supposed to perform another show the following night, but Liam came down with laryngitis, and the gig was cancelled. The show was scheduled for August 28 at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris; however, the show was cancelled at the last minute when Noel walked away from the band because he could not stand his brother’s behaviour anymore. The band split there and then, Noel formed his band, the High Flying Birds, and still performed a string of tracks from the Oasis catalogue as the encore for his band’s live sets.

In late September 2024, Noel and Liam shared an announcement on the band’s websites and their personal social media spaces, informing fans of the band’s reunion tour. The tour will be the brothers’ first performance together after a 15-year hiatus. Fans are keen on witnessing the synergy between the brothers while on stage. In addition, “Oasis Live ’25 Tour” is also a celebration of the band’s 30th anniversary of their debut album, “Definitely Maybe.” Songs from the album will be featured greatly on the setlist for their shows.

The reunion tour could not have come at a better time for Noel, who in 2023 divorced his wife of 12 years and lost most of his fortunes. The brothers are expected to earn 50 million each at the end of the initial run of shows; this is after tax and a few miscellaneous expenses have been settled. Allegedly, Noel has also discussed selling the publishing rights to his back catalogue, and the master’s rights to the band’s material will be reverted to him.

Oasis Live ’25 Tour

“Oasis Live ’25 Tour” is the upcoming tenth concert tour of the Manchester native band Oasis, who serenaded the 90s with their Britpop and rock sounds. The band has been on a long break with no signs of a comeback; however, the brothers Noel and Liam have buried the hatchet, announced tour dates, and are set to hit the road this year.

Oasis is synonymous with selling out shows; their two-night performance at Knebworth in 1996 is still etched in the memories of Oasis faithful, and they have rolled back the days of morning glory with “Oasis Live ’25 Tour.” The band’s first show will be at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff for two nights. Fans can buy Oasis Cardiff tickets from several tickets sellers online such as Seatsnet.com.

The Gallagher brothers will play hits upon hits; it will be a night of greatness reintroduced. Oasis will then head to their hometown in Manchester, where it all began, and play five gigs on 11, 12, 16, 19, and 20 July at Heaton Park. London’s iconic Wembley Stadium will be the next stop on the band’s reunion map. Other stops include three shows in Scotland’s Murrayfield and two in Dublin.

The North American leg will begin with two shows in Toronto on August 24 and 25; they will also play gigs in Chicago, Pasadena, and Mexico City. The Asian leg will kick off at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea and conclude in Tokyo. Furthermore, the band will headline shows in Australia, Argentina, and Chile and finally conclude the “Oasis Live ’25 Tour in Sao Paulo on November 23 at the Estadio do Morumbi.

Oasis’s lineup has been changeable since the band was formed in 1991; we are certain that Noel and Liam will be performing. According to Billboard, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs will be joining the band’s first guitarist, who will be joining the Gallagher brothers on tour as well as his eventual replacement, Gem Archer. Andy Bell, who has songwriting credits on each of Oasis’ last three albums and also was the band’s bassist between 1999 and their split in 2009, has not mentioned his involvement in the tour yet. Drummer Tony McCaroll told MailOnline that neither Liam nor Noel has reached out to him yet and that he is not anxious about it.

Possible setlist for Cardiff

The Gallagher brothers will open their reunion tour with a live performance in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. It will be the band’s first performance since their bitter split in 2009 at the Seine en Festival in Paris. The Millennium Stadium is the largest stadium in Wales, with a seating capacity of 73,931, and has hosted numerous top competitions in Europe, like the UEFA Champions League Final in 2017.

Oasis has a rich discography with seven banger albums to sieve a setlist of songs for their opening show in Cardiff. As it is very important since it is their first time out in a very long time, resuming with fan favourites, sing-alongs, and selected deep cuts will leave the fans in attendance starstruck. The band’s 1994 debut studio album, “Definitely Maybe,” has some tracks that can make it to the band’s setlist.

The album, which debuted at no. 1 on the UK charts, was the fastest-selling album in British history during the first week of sales. “Live Forever” was the band’s first single to enter the top 10 of the UK charts and is a crowd favourite; fans can expect to hear the band play it during their opening show in Cardiff.

In addition, Liam Gallagher, in an interview with Radio X, declared that the song is his favourite Oasis song. He said that he enjoyed singing the falsetto part “You and I, we’re gonna live forever.” Liam performed the song with Chris Martin during the “One Love Manchester” benefit concert organized by Ariana Grande on 4 June 2017 to raise funds for the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing.

The band’s second single to enter the UK top ten from their debut album, peaking at number 7, is “Cigarettes & Alcohol.” The song, according to Leesa Daniels from Smash Hits, is a “monster track with cock-sure vocals over heavy guitars and drums.” An exciting tune with a rougher musical approach than the band’s first two singles. The song claims that cigarettes and alcohol are a necessary evil to help working-class people escape from the stress of their jobs. It was a common tune in bars and pubs and another crowd favourite. Other songs from the 11-track album that can make it to the setlist for Cardiff include “Supersonic” and “Shakermaker.”

Another fan favourite and chart-topper, “Wonderwall,” will surely make it on the setlist. The song peaked at no. 2 on the UK Singles Chart and made it to the top ten in 15 different countries. According to Noel Gallagher, the song is about “an imaginary friend who is going to come and save you from yourself.” You have probably had an imaginary friend(s) while growing up; this song will bring those nostalgic emotions over the wall and into the moment.

“Don’t Look Back in Anger” is the fifth single from their second album, “Morning Glory,” that placed them on the map. The song is a crowd favourite, and during most of the concerts on the Oasis’ “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory? Tour,” when the band performed the song, Noel encouraged fans to sing the first chorus while he kept quiet and played the guitar part on the song.

Another moment to connect with the fans and a possible track for the band’s setlist for their opening show at the Principality Stadium. Also, Chris Martin performed the song at the “One Love Manchester” concert, rolling back the years. Other tracks from the album that can make it to the setlist for the band’s opening show include the self-titled track “Morning Glory,” “Roll with It,” and “Champagne Supernova.”

One song confirmed on the setlist is “Rock N Roll Star,” from the band’s debut album, “Definitely Maybe.” Liam replied to a fan on X who asked him about the first song he would like to play when the band reunites on stage on July 4 in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. He said it would be “Rock N Roll Star.”

During the band’s final appearance for their “Dig Out Your Soul Tour,” the setlist featured 18 songs, including five hits from their debut album and “Morning Glory” and a few Beatles covers. Some of the songs include “Lyla,” “Slide Away,” “The Shock of Lightning,” “I’m Outta Time,” “I Am the Walrus,” and several others. These songs and more can make it to the band’s setlist for their opener in Wales.
