Due to “phenomenal demand,” the newly reunited brothers have added two more dates to their show in the UK, five extra dates to their US outing, and one North American date.
The reunion tour will kick off at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff, in July 2025. The only way to see the band perform live will be on their Oasis Live ’25 World Tour.
Reunion tour
On 29 August 2024, British rock band Oasis announced a reunion tour. The announcement came two days shy of the band’s 30th anniversary of their debut album, Definitely Maybe, released in 1994. The band has not performed together since their acrimonious split in 2009. The brothers have often traded barbs on social media. Many believed a reunion was not possible because the hate was livid.
“It is with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight.”
This was a statement made by Noel Gallagher in 2009 on the band’s website after their gig in Paris. He revealed that he could not go a day working with Liam again. The Gallagher brothers have had a fraught relationship before they finally disbanded in 2009. But both brothers went on to have successful solo careers. Noel formed his new band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in 2020, while Liam went on to release 3 solo albums.
Noel explained two years later that during an argument, Liam had tried to attack him with his guitar.
He claimed their row had started after he blocked Liam from advertising his clothing brand in the programme for V Festival, at which the pair were due to perform. Liam said in 2017 he had felt unfairly scapegoated by Noel and left to shoulder the blame for the band’s split. But problems had been brewing before the festival incident, with the pair struggling to agree on how to perform Dig Out Your Soul, their final album before they disbanded. Many fans will be intrigued to see how relations between the brothers will play out 15 years on from their split.
On 29 August 2024, British rock band Oasis had announced a reunion tour. The announcement came two days shy of the band’s 30th anniversary of their debut album, Definitely Maybe released in 1994. It came with a brief joint statement from the pair about their reconciliation: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.” The news was accompanied by a new black-and-white photograph of the Gallaghers standing side-by-side, which was shot by Simon Emmet.
The band have not performed together since their acrimonious split in 2009. The brothers have often traded barbs on social media. Fans believed that their reunion was implausible, however, here we are buckling up to watch the band perform live. Oasis ’25 World Tour will be kicking off in July, the upcoming run of gigs includes dates at Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Dublin’s Croke Park, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.
The British rock band announced on Instagram that two extra Wembley Stadium shows have been added due to phenomenal demand. Tickets will be sold by a staggered, invitation-only ballot process. The dates are 27 and 28 September 2025. Wembley is the UK’s largest venue and it is expected that 180,000 tickets will go on sale, maximum capacity over the two nights.
In all of these, neither Noel nor Liam has mentioned the inclusion of former bandmates, Paul “Bonehead” Arthur, Paul “Guigsy” Mcguigan, and drummer Tony McCaroll, the original bandmates, as part of the tour. However, fans are optimistic that the Manchester boys will perform together again.
Newly added dates
On October 2, the band announced via the band’s social media handle that four extra dates have been added to their run of shows in the US due to ‘phenomenal demand.’ The new dates will see the Oasis perform at Soldier Field in Chicago on August 24 and two nights at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, followed by two gigs at the Rose Bowl Stadium in the city of lights, Los Angeles. Also, two live shows at the Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City were added as part of their North American outing.
The new additional dates and venues for the Oasis Live “25 World Tour” will be in different cities and maximum-capacity stadiums across the United States, Mexico, and London in the United Kingdom.
Starting from August 24: the 50,000 Rogers Stadium in Toronto will host the multi-award-winning duo. Further shows will continue at Chicago’s Soldier Field before Oasis fans at East Rutherford will be thrilled with live wireless performances at the 82,000-capacity MetLife Stadium.
The United States concerts on the additional dates will wrap up at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles before the rock band visits Mexico City on September 7, 12 and 13.
The grand finale of the Oasis Live “25 World Tour” will be held at the monumental Wembley Stadium in London on September 27 and 28 September.
