Motion Sickness Presents lands at The Union Bar, Belfast on Thursday 27th February 2026, bringing together No Matter (Belfast), Two Shoes (Dublin), New Teeth (Navan) and Snafu (Meath/Dublin).
It’s a straight-up DIY night focused on emo, punk and alternative music — loud, emotional, and built for the room. No frills, no barriers between bands and crowd, just the kind of show where the energy does the talking.
Motion Sickness came from a simple idea: there’s brilliant alternative music happening all over Ireland, but scenes don’t always cross paths. Bands can struggle to get out of their own city, meet new audiences, or link up with like-minded artists elsewhere. Motion Sickness exists to change that — to make it easier for bands to travel, connect and grow together.
This Belfast show is part of that wider picture. By putting bands from Belfast, Dublin and Meath on the same stage, the aim is to build real connections — between scenes, between bands, and between fans who might not usually be in the same room. It’s about discovering new music and helping those relationships carry on into future shows and tours.
Motion Sickness isn’t about one-off gigs or chasing numbers. It’s scene-first, community-led, and rooted in the DIY spirit that emo and punk were built on. The long-term goal is a stronger, more connected alternative network across Ireland — and shows that feel honest, intense, and worth being there for.
