One of Australia’s most exciting modern rock exports, Thornhill, stormed into Leeds on November 6th as part of their BODIES tour — bringing with them a night of sheer intensity, emotion, and energy.

The evening opened with fellow Australian acts Bloom and Ocean Grove, both of whom delivered high-octane sets that perfectly primed the crowd. Their performances blended sharp musicianship with infectious energy, setting the tone for what would become an unforgettable night of Australian power and passion.

When Thornhill finally took to the stage, the atmosphere shifted into overdrive. Their hypnotic, genre-bending sound — a fusion of alternative metal, metalcore, and hints of nu-metal — instantly had the crowd moving. Drawing comparisons to Deftones while maintaining a sound that feels distinctly their own, Thornhill delivered a set that was both crushing and cinematic.

Frontman Jacob Charlton commanded the stage with confidence and charisma, his soaring vocals and magnetic presence holding the crowd captive. The room erupted into mosh pits and waves of crowdsurfers, the energy never once dipping as fans screamed every lyric back. Between songs, Charlton repeatedly thanked Leeds for the incredible response, clearly humbled by the connection.

By the end of the night, the entire venue was bouncing — proof that Thornhill are not just a band on the rise, but one destined for greatness. With their latest album BODIES and its newly released remix counterpart BODIES X, the group are redefining what modern heavy music can sound like.

If this Leeds show was anything to go by, Thornhill’s future is nothing short of explosive.
