On August 29th, The Hives unleashed their new album The Hives The Hives Forever Forever The Hives — and to mark the occasion, they stormed into Nottingham with a short but blisteringly energetic set.
Mixing fresh cuts from the record with fan-favourite anthems, the Swedish garage-rock kings reminded everyone why their live shows remain untouchable.

From the opening moments, frontman Pelle Almqvist had the crowd in the palm of his hand. True to form, he peppered the night with sharp one-liners and relentless reminders that “we, The Hives, have a new album, The Hives Forever Forever The Hives.” His tongue-in-cheek humour, combined with the band’s ferocious energy, kept the audience grinning and moving throughout.

Highlights included a riotous run-through of “Tick Tick Boom,” during which Almqvist leapt into the crowd, chatting with fans mid-song about the new album and their night so far. It was classic Hives — chaos, charisma, and total connection.
Clocking in at under an hour, the show proved that The Hives can pack more punch into a short set than most bands manage in twice the time. Their latest record captures that same raw electricity, but seeing it come alive onstage was something else entirely.

Lucky to be there? Absolutely. The Hives aren’t just back — they’re louder, funnier, and more unstoppable than ever. Check out The Hives The Hives Forever Forever The Hives.
