John Lydon — still best known to many as Johnny Rotten — brought his fierce energy and no-filter attitude to Nottingham on June 27th with Public Image Ltd. The Rock City crowd was treated to a night that felt like a real celebration of freedom and defiance, exactly what you’d hope for from Lydon.

From the moment he stepped on stage, John Lydon had everyone in the palm of his hand. His charisma is as sharp as ever, and you can tell he genuinely loves being up there, stirring the pot and commanding attention. The band were tight and having a blast, feeding off each other’s energy and the crowd’s excitement.

PIL sounded huge, and it was infectious watching them lock in and go for it. There was a strong sense of connection in the room — between the band, Johnny, and the fans — that made it feel like more than just a gig. It was a reminder of why live music still matters so much.
