Following the emotional depth of his recent single “Celebrate,” James Arthur returns with “Karaoke,” out now. The track, the latest from his highly anticipated album PISCES, marks a bold shift from the introspective vulnerability of Celebrate.
Driven by a grunge-inspired guitar riff, Karaoke pulses with raw energy as James channels deep emotion into a plea for a partner to embrace their wild side despite the scars of a past relationship.
In addition to the new release, James has announced a major UK Arena tour for early 2026. The tour kicks off with a massive Belfast show at the SSE Arena on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, giving Northern Irish fans the first chance to experience James’ electrifying live performance. From there, the tour continues across the UK, including stops in Nottingham on February 3rd and concluding in Manchester on February 21st. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 21st, 2025, at 09:00 GMT from HERE.
James shared his excitement about the upcoming tour, saying:
“I had the best time I’ve ever had on the Bitter Sweet Love world tour last year, so I couldn’t be more thrilled to be hitting the road again for the PISCES world tour. I hope to see some familiar faces back again and hopefully some new ones. Can’t wait to get in my feels with you all and have a big old sing-song in some gargantuan rooms. See you on the road!”
Far from what its title might suggest, Karaoke isn’t a lighthearted anthem but a charged, emotionally turbulent track. The relentless guitar line sets the tone as James delivers an anthemic chorus:
“I want you dancing on the table, want you making a scene / I want you acting like a nightmare while you look like a dream,” capturing the intense push-pull of love and desire amidst lingering trauma.
This latest single is yet another bold step in James’ artistic evolution, blending electrifying rock influences with his signature emotional depth and storytelling. The release of Karaoke paves the way for PISCES, James Arthur’s sixth studio album, arriving April 25, 2025. With PISCES, he dives deeper into personal struggles, blending atmospheric production with his powerful, raspy vocals to craft a collection that is as introspective as it is sonically adventurous.
