Social media influencer Inessa Lee has been using her art to speak out against online aggression. Her song ‘Love Gun’ has grown into the anthem of a social-media flash mob called ‘Love Gun for Peace’. The single has peaked at No. 5 on the UK Music Week Club chart gaining over 2 million streams on Spotify.

Momentum for the song increased after Inessa opened up on Instagram about her experiences with cyber harassment. The singer’s story inspired influencers from around the world to join the movement, posting clips with phrases like “dance for peace” and “drop your gun.” As the campaign expanded, Inessa introduced its second phase “Love Gun for Pride” to show solidarity with LGBTQ+ people facing discrimination.

Inessa says her personal experience motivated her to engage in activism through music. Reportedly, a former Broadway performer Jasmine Amy Rogers, along with family targeted Inessa Lee and her friends on social media. Allegedly, the harassment progressed from insults to threatening messages, pushing her to speak publicly against online abuse.

These experiences shaped the storyline of the “Love Gun” music video, which adopts the style of an action thriller. In it, Inessa portrays a glamorous female spy pursuing a cybercriminal who carries sensitive information encoded in a neural chip. The video ends with the villain defeated: his neural chip is broken by a special e-watch on Inessa’s wrist.

For Inessa Lee, “Love Gun for Peace” initiative reflects her belief that music can serve as a powerful advocacy tool. The singer has been using her music to deliver powerful social messages to her listeners since day one. In “Dynamite” music video Inessa stands agianst domestic violence as a protector of women. “I am not I” song was a reflection on the bipolar disorder that she successfully overcome through music as well. Reportedly, Inessa is planning to launch a hot line to help victims of cyber-harassment in the nearest future.
