One of the UK’s most beloved indie quartets, The Libertines, lit up Rock City in Nottingham on October 21st. As the band took the stage, Pete Doherty, wrapped in a khaki parka with his hood pulled over his head, added a sense of mystery to the opening number. It wasn’t until the second song that Carl Barât lifted Doherty’s hood with a playful gesture, finally revealing his face to a packed, electrified crowd.

The show was a sell-out, with fans filling the floor, balcony, and even the steps, leaving no space unclaimed. All four members—Pete Doherty, Carl Barât, John Hassall, and Gary Powell—were at the top of their game, delivering a performance as dynamic as skilful. The band maintained an unbreakable connection with the audience, their charisma and sound thoroughly captivating everyone from start to finish.

The night was truly unique, and XS Noize had the privilege of capturing the energy and artistry of these legendary musicians in action.
