IN FOCUS// Orbital at Rock City, Nottingham

Two brothers, Phil Hartnoll and Paul Hartnoll, aka Orbital, brought their special electronic music show to Nottingham.

The legendary duo wore their signature head torch glasses and played their most popular hits, such as Halcyon, Belfast, Chime, and Dirty Rat (feat. Sleaford Mods) from this year’s album Optical Delusion.

The lighting style created an outstanding atmosphere, and the visuals on the screen made a powerful picture. For instance, during Dirty Rat, the screen showed an edited performance by Sleaford Mods, delivering powerful song lyrics. During Satan, lights were red and aggressive, and the screen showed clips of war, fire, politicians and catastrophes.

Rock City was packed to see the dance music scene favourites perform their famous tunes. Orbital has been active for 30+ years, bringing their signature style to dance floors all over the globe, and it was exciting to see that their fire is still burning.
