Ed Sheeran 2025 Tour: Dates, Venues, Tickets and More

ED SHEERAN announces extra date for The O2's 10th Birthday

English pop sensation, Ed Sheeran, announced the end of his massive tour after more than three years on the road.

In an Instagram video posted on July 5, 2025, he said: “In 2025, Mathematics Tour comes to an end. Gonna be hitting most of the other places we haven’t been to yet, but the first dates to go up will be the rest of Europe, more to follow.”  The four-time Grammy Award winner went on to add “See you next year. It was time to stop, but then we can press play…”

The “+ – ÷ = x Tour” began at Croke Park in Dublin and has since featured the Grammy Award-winning singer performing in numerous shows across Europe, North America, Asia, South America, and Oceania since 2022. His family—wife Cherry and daughters Lyra and Jupiter—have supported him from the start. Although they do not appear on stage, they accompany him on tour and are always backstage cheering on, likely his biggest fans of all time.

So far, the tour has had many transcendental moments, from his performance in Singapore on 16 February 2024, where he sang ”Twilight” in Mandarin alongside special guest, JJ Lin to Eminem coming on as a special guest in Detroit, also, to perform “Stan” and “Lose Yourself” with the British singer.  In the Philippines, Ed Sheeran invited Miguel and Paolo Guico of Ben & Ben to perform “Maybe the Night“ with him.

RISE TO STARDOM

Before Ed Sheeran rose to fame in 2011, he was a young boy born in the early 1990s in West Yorkshire, England with a speech problem. In an interview with Love Music Hate Racism, the “Shape of You” crooner revealed that he was constantly bullied and faced several difficulties in school.

Despite this early setback, he found solace in music and sang often. Ed loved sports, particular football as he was a huge Ipswich Town fan, but his true passion was music. With time, he overcame his speech problem and imagined a music career. He moved to London in 2008 and played gigs in small venues, open mic nights, and online platforms. He released his first EPs in 2009, “Loose Change” and “You Need Me”, the latter was reposted by Record Executive Jamal Edwards.

ALBUM SUCCESSES

Sheeran released his first studio album “+” (Plus) in 2011 and was signed by Atlantic Records in the same year. He has since collaborated with some of the industry’s finest like Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, the British band One Direction, and Pharrell Williams which he featured in his second album “X” (Multiply) released in 2014. He won Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance in 2015 for his hit single “Thinking Out Loud”

The 33-year-old has gone on to sell over 150 million records worldwide and has released three more blockbuster albums: ÷ (Divide) in 2017, featuring the multiple chart-breaking record “Shape of You”; = (Equals) in 2021, which had hit tracks like “Bad Habits” and “Shivers”; and – (Subtract) in 2023. The album was deeply personal, addressing grief and relationships.

MATHEMATICS TOUR

Ed Sheeran’s “+ – ÷ = x Tour” also known as “Mathematics Tour” kicked off on April 23, 2022, at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. The tour is in support of Sheeran’s fifth and sixth studio albums, “=” Equals released in 2021 and “–” released in 2023, respectively.

The tour is named after his series of albums (+, -, =, and x), and has been a blockbuster tour so far. According to Pollstar, the “Mathematics Tour” was the highest-grossing tour of 2023 and has amassed $268 million from ticket revenue.

Through an Instagram post, Ed Sheeran announced the continuation of his “Mathematics Tour” in 2025. “In 2025, Mathematics Tour comes to an end” He went on to say that he is “Gonna be hitting most of the other places we haven’t been to yet, but the first dates to go up will be the rest of Europe, more to follow.”

He revealed that his long-running tour will conclude in 2025, however, he promised to include cities he has not toured yet.

The new dates are slated to take place in major cities in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, Poland and Denmark. The tour is due to start at the Riyadh Metropolitano in Madrid on 30 May 2025 followed by gigs in Rome, Hamburg, Oslo, Zurich, Antwerp, Stockholm, and Copenhagen before concluding on 5 September 2025 at Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany.

As an era-defining artist, Ed Sheeran is set to enthrall fans with his guitar and loop pedal, performing another round of shows. “It was time to stop, but then, we can press play…” the British singer teased when announcing the news of the final shows for the tour in 2025.

It has been a spectacular run since 2022, however, every good thing must come to an end. Fans are delighted that they get to witness another year of soulful music and hybrid pop sound from Ed Sheeran.

GROSSING RECORDS

Ed Sheeran’s “Mathematics Tour”, which started on April 23, 2022, has been a massive success, with numerous sold-out shows and impressive box office grossing records.

The tour has generated over $268 million in revenue as of November 2024. With notable shows in Dublin in 2022, about 140,487 attendees were present at the concert and $12.4 million was generated from ticket sales. Well, this musical prophet was welcomed in his home. The fans in England showed massive support for the ginger-haired singer when he performed at the Wembley Stadium in London.

An estimated 420,269 attendees matched his energy over five nights at the prolific stadium, generating $37.3 million in revenue. However, this remarkable support is unsurprising, given that the UK leads in purchasing Sheeran’s albums.

Ed’s performances at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on June 10 and 11 reached a box office gross of $18 million, with a record-breaking attendance of 173,390 fans. These figures underscore the tour’s commercial success and explain why it’s being compared to other top-grossing tours like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
