Belfast alt-rock five-piece Consolers will release their debut album, Deep Breaths, on 20 February 2026, marking the occasion with a headline show at the city’s legendary Empire Music Hall. Tickets for the show are on sale now here.
The album was recorded at 1980 Something Studios, produced by Jonny Woods (Wynona Bleach), and mastered by Jon Moorehead at Moostronix.
Latest single “Play” offers a sharp introduction to the record’s sound — hook-heavy, guitar-driven alt-rock that has already become a live favourite among the band’s growing following.
The accompanying video was produced in collaboration with Ed Watson, an endurance cyclist and filmmaker known for documenting long-distance bikepacking adventures with the charity group Fitzroy Four. In 2025, Watson completed a solo ride of more than 5,000km, travelling from the northernmost to the southernmost points of Australia. Footage from that journey — captured across vast, beautiful and often barren landscapes and shared via his @eddy.explore Instagram channel — has been repurposed as the striking visual backdrop for “Play”.
Consolers burst onto the Belfast scene in April 2025 with their debut single “Inhale”, quickly earning support slots with Irish rock heavyweights Fangclub and The Wood Burning Savages, alongside early backing from BBC Introducing, The Irish News, and Sunday Life.
“Inhale” was followed by “Watcher” and the third single “Sink On In”, further establishing the band’s rising reputation.
Pre-orders for Deep Breaths are available via the band’s Bandcamp, including a limited-edition vinyl pressing. Produced using eco-friendly materials, each vinyl record is uniquely finished, making every copy one of a kind.
