Art Nikels is a brewing presence in the East Bay and greater San Francisco music scene. Art Nikels presents a freeform blend of electronically fused psych-rock, citing influences ranging from hip-rock to kraut-höp. Unpredictable performers, their shows have reportedly oozed Flying Lotus medleys, Black Sabbath covers, and contemporary pantomime.
Their early years in a cavernous laboratory were soon forgotten. But it was there, aside their mysterious founder and beneficiary, Arthur Nikels, (and many other established lepidopterists in the field) that they truly began to formulate the axioms of their fuzz-folk morphology.
