Adele’s 2024 European Tour dates, venues, how to get tickets

ALBUM REVIEW: ADELE – 25

British-born music legend and soul music star, Adele will be heading to Germany for the European leg of her widely acclaimed Weekends with Adeleconcert residency.

‘Adele in Munich’ marks her second concert residency and will take place at a specially constructed 80,000-seat outdoor arena at Messe München in Germany. Kicking off on August 2, 2024, and concluding on August 31, 2024, the residency features two shows each week, promising the longest setlist of her career.

Get ready to be enchanted by her powerful vocals and mesmerizing stage presence as she performs her chart-topping hits and emotional ballads in Munich.

Adele shared her enthusiasm on Instagram about the forthcoming Munich shows, calling the venue “a one-off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on.” The mother of one added, “I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer.” This marks her return to mainland Europe since her last performance in 2016, making the shows eagerly awaited by fans across the continent.

Although Adele won’t be performing in the United Kingdom soon, a trip to Germany offers a great alternative. It’s an excellent opportunity for a fun vacation where you can enjoy Adele’s music, explore the sights, savour the renowned beer, and, if attending a later date, catch a live Bundesliga match.

Adele has been one of the most prominent artists globally over the last two decades. Beginning her music journey in 2006 after graduating from the BRIT School, she quickly rose to fame. Within two years, she had won the Critics’ Choice Brit Award and the BBC Sound of 2008 and released her debut album, ’19’, which garnered her two Grammy Awards.

Her album “25” ranks as the fourth best-selling album of the century, while “21” achieved the top spot on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums of All Time. The album “30” saw an astounding sale of 692,000 copies, combining both digital and physical formats, and outperformed the top 50 best-selling albums on Billboard’s list, earning the title of the best-selling album of 2021.

The 16-time Grammy Award recipient has surpassed 140 million certified unit sales for her songs, breaking sales records in numerous countries including Japan, the United States, the Netherlands, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, and Portugal. At 36, she has accumulated an impressive $120 million from her overall claimed sales.

Grossing projections

The ‘Adele in Munich’ performances are certain to elevate her already remarkable personal wealth even further.

The custom-built venue will include a mix of seated grandstands and standing sections, accommodating 80,000 attendees each night.

In an interview with MailOnline, Brand and Culture Expert, Nick Ede revealed the 36-year-old will be recording some astronomical grossing figures. He said:  ‘Adele announcing her European dates is a big step when many thought she would take a break after her Vegas run’

He went on to add: ‘’But performing for four nights to 80,000 people per night will make her millions and also cement her status as one of the biggest stars in the world’

Ede concluded by saying: ‘Adele can make over 10 million from her four-night residency. She will look at this model as perhaps a good way of touring for her next album but doing mini residencies around the world like Beyoncé, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift have successfully done’.

The residency has reportedly earned Adele an astounding $1 million per performance. According to the New York Post, her extended run has brought in approximately $2 million per show, with a guaranteed total of $105 million.

The publication also noted that her agreement includes a 5% bonus if ticket sales, after expenses, surpass her nightly earnings.

Moreover, Adele has negotiated a deal securing her 50% of the merchandise revenue. The merchandise includes $110 Rolling in the Deep sweatshirts, bottles of wine, necklaces with ‘divorced’ inscriptions, socks with wine glasses on them, and even Adele-branded tissues.

The venue holds around 4,200 people, with ticket prices estimated to reach up to $16,940 (£12,460).

Adele is also reportedly on track to become the highest-earning artist per show in Las Vegas history.

Concert schedule

Adele is scheduled for ten performances in August at Munich’s Messe, an open-air venue with an 80,000 capacity. Initially confirmed dates were August 2, 3, 9, and 10, but due to high demand, additional shows on August 14, 16, 23, 24, 30, and 31 have been added.

The venue for Adele’s residency will be exclusively designed for her performances. In her statement, she described it as “a one-off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on.” Expect a remarkable experience filled with euphoric performances and a bit of an emotional rollercoaster when she gets to perform ‘Someone Like You’.

Previous show success

‘Weekends with Adele’ had an immensely successful debut in November 2022, and it was later revealed that her Vegas residency would continue at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace until the final show on June 15, 2024.

The residency has received acclaim from both fans and critics globally with the Los Angeles Times calling it “an exquisite balance of personal storytelling and Las Vegas glitz,” and Billboard labeling it “utterly and breathlessly spectacular.” Adele’s upcoming Munich shows are expected to maintain this high standard, offering a fresh experience for her European fans.

Apart from her recently concluded ‘Las Vegas Residency’ and the upcoming Munich performances, Adele has no other tour dates planned anytime soon particularly in Europe.
