Today XS Noize is pleased to premiere the new video for ‘Jogging” / “Neon Forming’ by Wray. From Birmingham, AL, Wray’s past work has been praised by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Noisey, Consequence of Sound, Stereogum and more.

Wray are a trio who expand on the post-punk tradition of Slowdive, The Cure and Joy Division with a nod to the dream pop, surf punk and lo-fi garage-rock of contemporary groups like Lower Dens, Wild Nothing and DIIV. To top it all off, their motorik rhythms are firmly in the tradition of classic krautrock groups like Neu, Faust and Can.

” Take a Motorik Beat. Repeat some phrases and chords. Give it some space. Add a little grit. Polish it with some synths. Try to recall the hopes and perceptions of a past life and sing about that. Oh, and it’s better if you are jogging. …Neon Forming  is the dream that comes after.”

The third album, Stream of Youth / Blank World, is a dual fantasy/sci-fi influenced record featuring artwork by legendary Preuvian painter Boris Vallejo.
