VIDEO PREMIERE: Run Rivers - new single ‘Couldn’t Love You More’ - Watch Now

Run Rivers have unveiled the video for new single ‘Couldn’t Love You More’ and revealed details of the release. Out 23rd March via AWAL, the John Martyn cover ‘Couldn’t Love You More’ is a slow building number that combines Chris’ soft, warm vocals with subtle electronica and atmospheric piano from Nick Ramm. Produced and mixed by Chris James and Suneil Pusari (Michael Kiwanuku), the track builds on Chris’ love of folk and specifically John Martyn. Chris explains…

‘I grew up on John Martyn. My Dad got me into ‘Solid Air’ when I was a kid and I’ve loved him ever since. He took me to see him live a few times and I was blown away by his guitar playing and his voice, and just his whole vibe. I love the way Martyn writes and performs in such a raw and emotive way, and we tried to capture that rawness on our version. May he rest in peace.’

The cinematic video is directed by Xavier Perkins whose recent projects include commercials for Samsung, Guinness, Nike, HSBC, Canon and a Google story which was awarded a Cannes Lion for storytelling.
