VIDEO PREMIERE: Nervous Twitch - Keeping Faith in Something

Leeds three-piece Nervous Twitch are giving the first taste of their fourth album with the release of single ‘Keeping Faith In Something’ / ‘Something To Look Forward To’ digitally via Reckless Yes on 9 October 2020.

A-side ‘Keeping Faith In Something’ is the first new music since 2017 album ‘I Won’t Hide’ and the band have turned up the fuzz while retaining their infinitely danceable synthpop take on punk. With an anti-capitalist stance underpinning the track mixes – as has been said of them before – “1960’s Girl Group and fuzzed up 1980’s New Wave Punk” (For The Rabbits).

Of ‘Keeping Faith In Something’ the band said, “Sometimes it feels as though society pins materialistic hopes and goals on life and you are judged for having alternative motives. But we are all running our own race, and sometimes cannot control the route we take.”

Accompanied by b-side ‘Something To Look Forward To’ a more subdued side to Nervous Twitch comes through. A subtle stand of solidarity, and tentative hope, between guitar and vocal – if there was a weary sign off for 2020 then this could be it.

Having reissued their first three albums (2015’s Get Back In Line, 2016’s Don’t Take My TV, and 2017’s I Won’t Hide) to digital streaming over the summer ‘Keeping Faith In Something’ / ‘Something To Look Forward To’ is their first new music since signing to independent label Reckless Yes. Both tracks will be available across streaming and download platforms from 9 October 2020. More new music is set to follow in the next few months, with a fourth album due from the band on vinyl, CD and digital in early 2021.
