VIDEO PREMIERE: Humphrey - Back To Love (Live in Belfast)

Humphrey, best known as the frontman of blues-rock band MASK, has today released a live solo EP entitled Live in Belfast. A stripped-back, intimate collection of songs signalling the artists farewell to his home city.

From Humphrey himself: “I owe so much to Belfast. Mostly the people who have supported me. I am incredibly comfortable here, but I am mindful that comfort is often the killer of creativity. It’s time for me to seek out new adventures whilst taking my, and my bands, music to the far corners of Europe. This EP is a sort of love letter to say thank you and goodbye – it will be a tearful farewell”.

Live in Belfast is an acoustically laden collection of songs from Humphrey’s debut album Taming Demons and also features a unique take on David Bowie’s classic anthem “Heroes”. Taking the stage with long time collaborator/producer Michael Mormecha – it is music completely stripped back and in its purest form.

The story of Humphrey is miraculous and inspirational; forced to quit his day job in 2015, he sought out singing lessons. 2017 saw his first musical release with rock band MASK, and since he has released five albums that have amassed an incredible two million streams/ downloads. His writing is profound, affecting and heartfelt.
