Hailing all the way from Austria, Mik Tanzos is the creative brain behind the indie rock project Tanzos. Soon to be marking his territory on the UK music scene, Tanzos gives listeners a taste of what’s to come with debut single ‘How Do You Want Me?’
Launching straight into squalling guitar harmonics and reverb-addled riffs, ‘How Do You Want Me?’ is an explosive burst of energy. Through Mik’s robust vocals, the new number explores the emotions and pressures felt when striving for the acceptance of others. Discussing the inspiration behind the thundering track, he tells us: “This song tries to capture an ongoing inner dialogue, which might be different for every person, but in its core; it is quite similar. Whole industries are built upon this simple question and the urge to please someone.”
In 2017, the Austrian artist released his first solo Album New Room, which secured him a slot to perform as the special guest on Paul Weller’s tour. His single ‘A sign of peace’ landed the #1 spot on the Austrian Indie Charts. Now taking a turn in a new direction, Tanzos are in the pipeline for a successful 2020.
