TRACK PREMIERE: Simon Lynge Returns with New Single 'Age Of Distraction' - Listen Now

Acclaimed Greenlandic/Scandinavian singer-songwriter Simon Lynge returns today with Age of Distraction, the first single from his brand new album via Integrity Records/Songcrafter Music. His fourth LP Deep Snow will be released on 23rd November and follows previous critical praise from Q Magazine, The Sunday Times and Uncut Magazine.

Recorded in a secluded cottage in the green hills of Wales and in the eclectic atmosphere of London’s Narcissus Studios, the album is a collaboration with long-time friend and musical partner, Richard Lobb. Having spent his early years as a shepherd boy in the Greenland tundra, nature and life’s fragility are never far from Simon’s lyrics and this beautiful new track is no exception.

“I just wanted to acknowledge the underlying anxiety of existence in this age and the longing for connection that I believe is so pervasive in modern humans,” explains Lynge. “We have instant access to information, but our knowledge of the source of a meaningful life is at an all-time low. We look out of our eyes and forget to observe with our heart.”

Though now based in America’s Pacific Northwest, Simon Lynge is no stranger to UK media having appeared on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio London, BBC1 Breakfast TV & Sky News and receiving great reviews of previous releases from national press & monthly magazines. He also holds the honour of being the first Greenlander to play Glastonbury Festival and has supported Emmylou Harrison tour across the USA. With a strong back catalogue and a stunning new collection of songs, Deep Snow will re-introduce this talented troubadour to a new streaming audience.
