TRACK PREMIERE: Fightmilk release new single ‘I’m Starting To Think You Don’t Even Want To Go To Space’

Fightmilk make a long-awaited return to our orbit on 20 March with the digital release of single ‘I’m Starting To Think You Don’t Even Want To Go To Space’, via independent record label Reckless Yes. The track heralds their second album, due later in 2020, and a follow up to 2018 debut ‘Not With That Attitude’.

The track initially takes a quieter approach to their power-pop sound, but soon blasts off with louder and angrier guitars and a soaring chorus. Bounding between frustration and boredom with the person at the heart of the song cutting wit strikes through while melodically the song lands between Ash and Upset.

About the single frontwoman, Lily Rae said, “I was inspired to write this song by watching someone who keeps loudly proclaiming they’re going to save humanity and change the world constantly make excuses for why they haven’t got round to it. It’s largely about emotional labour and rockets and I’m dead proud of it.”
