TRACK OF THE DAY: TONES - “HERE ON AFTER”

Tones are a punk rock four-piece from South London, formed at secondary school, bored by the monotony of suburban teenage life and education.

Still only seventeen, the bands desire and what drives them, is to give their generation a voice so little represented in modern pop music. In a time when the government are cutting funds to schools and vital services, and welfare is being slashed, there are too many songs about love and not enough about issues that affect the youths in towns and cities across our country.

Drawing their influences from both UK and US punk rock as well as elements of Grunge, “Here on After” is a high energy call to arms to the youth of today to step up and take a stand.

“Youth should be free and not be told by a government who they are and what they need. The machine is trying to make us all into clones but we need to take a step up and shape the future for ourselves” – Jake (lead voc/guitar) Tones
