THE VIEW announce Autumn UK Tour

After playing to 10,000 people over the course of four euphorically received nights in Glasgow last December, The View are now ready to show the rest of the UK what they’re missing. The band – consisting of founder members Kyle Falconer (vocals/guitar), Kieran Webster (bass/vocals) and Pete Reilly (guitar) – will play their first full-scale UK headline tour since 2017 this autumn, which includes a London show at the Scala.

Fans who pre-order the band’s upcoming ‘Exorcism of Youth’ album will receive access to a ticket pre-sale which opens at 9 am next Wednesday, May 3rd. It will remain live until tickets go on general sale at 9 am on Friday, May 5th.

The View’s Kyle Falconer commented, “Touring has always been what we’ve done best, we just needed some time to refuel. Can’t wait to get back to it!”

The dates are:

NOVEMBER

2nd – Nottingham, Rescue Rooms

3rd – Liverpool, O2 Academy 2

4th – Manchester, O2 Academy 2

10th – Norwich, Waterfront

15th – Cambridge, Junction

In addition, The View have already confirmed select other live shows. Intimate headline gigs at Manchester’s Deaf Institute (May 10th) and London’s Oslo (May 11th) are long sold-out. The band also have numerous festivals on the schedule, calling at Neighbourhood Weekender (May 27th), Darwen Live (May 27th/28th), TRNSMT (July 7th), Greenwich Royal Naval College (July 8th, special guests to Kaiser Chiefs), The Mighty Boof (August 18th/19th, headliners), Victorious (August 25th) and Shiiine On (November 19th).

When The View reconvened after five years apart, the three old-friends realised just how much they have missed… well, everything about being in a band: the rush of seeing an audience react to their performances, the camaraderie of being together, a simple jam idea evolving into a fully-fledged song. After all that, how could you resist wanting more?

That connection gathered pace in Granada, Spain as they worked on new material with the Grammy Award-winning producer Youth (The Verve, Jesus & Mary Chain, The Charlatans). The result, the upcoming ‘Exorcism of Youth’, weaves fresh sonic elements into their renowned rock ‘n’ roll sound. Their first new track in eight years, ‘Just Like’, received a suitable big reaction with a first play from Jo Whiley at Radio 2, followed by being named Track of the Week at Amazing Radio. The View’s return continued to gain traction with the follow-up ‘Neon Lights’.
