THE SHIRES share a performance video for new single 'Wild Hearts' - Watch Now

The Shires launched their upcoming album ‘10 Year Plan’ in a way that was fitting for their status as the UK’s biggest country music export. Its lead single ‘I See Stars’ was premiered on Zoe Ball’s Breakfast Show on Radio 2, and further airplay soon followed when it went onto the Radio 2 A list and was named Record of the Week by both Radio 2 and Absolute Radio Country. It was also highlighted by Wonderland, who hailed it as “another breakthrough singalong anthem to add to the duo’s ever-growing collection of timeless tunes.”

As the March 11th release of ‘10 Year Plan’ draws near, The Shires now share the new album track ‘Wild Hearts’. The song is released alongside an accompanying performance video. Watch the video BELOW:

‘Wild Hearts’ finds Crissie Rhodes’ voice channelling the tempestuous emotions of a love that’s simultaneously irresistible and ill-advised, while the song is given a cinematic aura courtesy of Ben Earle’s Morricone-tinged guitar. And by the time their dual vocals swell towards a stunning crescendo, it’s clear that The Shires have delivered a moment befitting of the biggest stages.

The Shires commented, “We can’t wait to get this song into our live set. The energy in ‘Wild Hearts’ is so fun. Get your air guitars ready for this.”

The Shires are joined by a full live band for the ‘Wild Hearts’ performance video, which captures the song’s fiery passion as well as its arena-scaled energy – you can see both Ben and Crissie being wowed by its searing guitar solo. Like the recent ‘I See Stars’ live video, ‘Wild Hearts’ was directed by Jackson Ducasse (Dua Lipa, James Bay, Clean Bandit) and filmed at The Roost in Hackney, London.

The video provides a flavour of what to expect from The Shires’ huge UK headline tour, which concludes with a prestigious London show at the Palladium. Several shows are already sold-out, with more set to follow imminently. Remaining tickets for the tour are available HERE.

Since breaking through in 2014, The Shires have scored three consecutive UK Top 3 albums, four #1 UK Country albums, 100 million+ streams, two Gold-certified records, and countless sold-out headline shows, including filling the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. They have also won two CMA Awards, hit the C2C Festival, and played gigs as guests to Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town and The Corrs.
